Spotify are in talks with Gimlet media to acquire them for north of $200m. This is huge, it offers hope in podcasts and production companies where podcasts struggle to make money and monetise their quality content. Gimlet were one of the first companies who produced high quality podcasts and have had homecoming with Julia Roberts produced and showing on amazon prime video.
In Uber’s latest move, you can now buy tickets (well in Denver) for buses, trains etc - this is important as Uber expands their offering and turns Uber in a travel utility not just an app that you only use when wanting a cab.

Advertising still rules product development: Spotify is working on a self serving ad platform based on interests - will this improve our experience?
BTW I have been really impressed by Argos, Ikea and TaskRabbit in recent weeks, great use of apps, SMS and delivery tracking. Good product is not that difficult is it!
